The company
The American company Dymotek specializes in the production of 2-component liquid silicone components. With the Nexus X200 dosing system, a cycle time reduction of 28% was achieved, resulting in a significant increase in production output.
Initial situation & challenges
On the customer side, an injection molding machine from Arburg and a Wittmann robot are used as part of an overall 2K injection molding process. The heating time was originally 40 seconds and the total cycle time was a full 60 seconds. The particular challenges of the project were both the highly complex production process of Dymotek and adhesion problems between the TP and the liquid silicone.

The heating time could be reduced from 40 to 27 seconds. This saves a lot of energy and therefore costs.

At a mixing ratio of 1:1, a deviation of less than 0.2% on average was observed after 100 cycles.
