Dymotek, an American company specializing in 2-shot and liquid silicone molds that brings innovative plastic molding and injection solutions to the market, has achieved a 29% reduction in cycle time and therefore increased machine performance thanks to the Nexus built-in solution.
Initial situation & challenges
Dymotek carried out a 1K injection molding process using an Arburg injection molding machine with linear demolding device and a Wittmann robot. Furthermore, an LSR dosing unit with piston pump was used. Before the project started, the heating time was 8 seconds and the total cycle time was 21 seconds. The greatest challenge was the optimization in an ongoing process that had already been running for years in a supposedly stable manner.
